SUBJECT: # 7503: Truck camper tops

Guys Got a new Chevy extended cab pickup and want to put a camper shell on it. I have looked at a lot of different one's and think I like the LEER the best. But what do you guys have on your trucks, and do you like it, or would you get something else.
The way it looks it's going to take about $1500 to get what I want, also I am looking at getting the side windoors so I can get to items close to the front of the bed. Thanks & God Bless Carl

I used to have a camper shell on mine and then I put a small slide in camper on it and have loved it from day one. I can keep all my rods stored in there and when I get sleepy from a long day of fishing I just pull into the nearest truck stop and take a nap.

Leer makes a tough camper shell. I had on a truck that was rear-ended and totaled. The aluminum shell was slightly bent but all the glass survived. My camper top had 4 side windows that opened so you could get to tool boxes that were mounted along the sides of the bed. It was great!

I have a Century on my Ranger. It is very high quality, well finished, and exactly matches the color of my pickup. Before I bought it, I looked at all of the major brands, including Leer. If I were to purchase a new truck, I'd get another Century.Cary

Carl....I have an ARE topper on my 99 Silverado. It's a very strong and well made unit. Get the "Z Series", it has the sloping, frameless back window that makes your truck look like a SUV. I paid about $1250. two years ago....Roy
